Fitness Activities

The following are some suggestions for around the parish and surrounding area.

Walking: Try Hartshill Hayes Country Park, the gardens of Arbury Hall or some of the many public footpaths we are lucky enough to have  in the area. Even better, if you have some spare time why not consider helping to maintain these country walks and join a local group who carry out monthly maintenance. Contact the clerk for more details.

Gardening - See our allotment page for more contact details and lose weight and imporve fitness with a bit of heavy digging!

Golfing - See under Oakridge for details of local golf courses

Playgrounds- The Parish Council own /lease playgrounds in Ansley Village and Birchley Heath and provide play equipment in these. If you feel there is something lacking for a certain age group please let us know and we will alweays consider updating/improvements subject to funding being available. In Ansley Common, the Borough Council own the only play area but this has some afety issues and it is generally considered unsuitable for equipment for young children. If you have any ideas where we could put some equipment please let us know.
