  • The next Community Litter Picking morning will take place on Saturday 11th April 2015. There will be three teams covering the top middle and bottom of Ansley Village and including Church End. If you are able to spare some time no matter how little, please meet either in front of the Church Hall on the Birmingham Road or in front of Cllr Rees house which is next to Mike Kiernan cars. We are meeting at 10.30am and equipment will be provided but please bring your own gloves.

  • Following a lot of support from local residents, the Parish Council will reconsider the installation of the mining half wheel on the traffic island. This was a project we were very interested in from the start, but when it became apparent that it may cost at least £4000, possibly a lot more, then we felt that unless we knew it was something local people wanted then it was too much money.

  • To commemorate 50 years since the start of the Keep Britain Tidy campaign, local communities are being asked to have a BIG TIDY UP day. We have a community litter pick every year in Ansley, but to enter into the spirit of the occasion we have decided to do this in November this year to tie in with the campaign.

     

  • The next BIg Lottery Meeting is tonight... that is Monday 1st September in the Methodist Hall, Old Arley starting at 7.30pm

  • North Warwickshire Borough Coucil is consulting on its revised Site Allocation Plan which gives housing numbers and locations included in the Core Strategy.

    Due to  the Inspectors concerns about the proposed housing numbers in the previous site allocations document, it has been necessary to increase the numbers in a lot of settlements, of which Ansley is one.

  • Please note that the meeting which should have taken place on Tuesday 17th June will now be taking place on Thursday 19th June, but it has had to be changed from St Johns Hall to the Church Annexe which is actually in the grounds of St Laurence Church in Church End.

  • A vacancy has arisen for the role of caretaker to look after the recreation ground in Ansley Village. The salary is £55 a month and there are no hard and fast hours. We need someone who lives very close to the ground who can be a key holder to open the gate for contractors, and also to be our eyes and ears in case there are any problems. The person appointed also needs to pick up litter and dog mess where appropriate.

     

  • We have had a few volunteers from Ansley Village who are willing to help with a springclean. We have therefore arranged this for Saturday 8th March 2014 meeting at 10.00am. There will be two working parties, one concentrating on the top end of the village including Arley Lane and the other at the bottom end.
