Walking: Try Hartshill Hayes Country Park, the gardens of Arbury Hall or some of the many public footpaths we are lucky enough to have in the area. Even better, if you have some spare time why not consider helping to maintain these country walks and join a local group who carry out monthly maintenance. Contact the clerk for more details.
Gardening - See our allotment page for more contact details and lose weight and imporve fitness with a bit of heavy digging!
Golfing - See under Oakridge for details of local golf courses
Playgrounds- The Parish Council own /lease playgrounds in Ansley Village and Birchley Heath and provide play equipment in these. If you feel there is something lacking for a certain age group please let us know and we will alweays consider updating/improvements subject to funding being available. In Ansley Common, the Borough Council own the only play area but this has some afety issues and it is generally considered unsuitable for equipment for young children. If you have any ideas where we could put some equipment please let us know.
Cricket - Ansley has its own cricket ground in Ansley Common
Other sports - Arley Sports Centre, Pingles Leisure Centre Nuneaton, Atherstone Swimming baths
Keep Fit -Check above leisure centres, also Fitness Centre in Ansley Common and Vibese in Chapel End
Dancing - Morris Dancing and Tap at Ansley Church Hall. Other dance schools locally include Nuneaton Dancentre in Attleborough, Dancecraze ( also do a class for children at church hall in Galley Common) and Nuneaton Co op Hall.
Horse riding- Riding for the Disabled in Galley Common also take able bodied people for classes
Outdoor Bowls - Haunchwood Institute Valley Road Galley Common ( membership required)
